The Berlin Lions Clubs is a non profit organization that serves Berlin Borough and Berlin Township with community and sight related services. Our sight services include providing glasses, eye exams and assistance with the treatment of eye disease to those who are unable to afford them in our community. Our community services range from providing food baskets to building playgrounds. Our motto We Serve illustrates our committment to community service.

Projects

• Sight-Berlin Lions Club voted best in sight 2001-2002
• Annual Amblyopia (Lazy Eye ) Screening for children 5 yr. and younger
• Free eye screenings and glasses for those in need
• Collect used eyeglasses at Berlin Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Shop Rite and Berlin Community school for refurbishment and redistribution throughout the world
• Provide funding for training seeing eye and dogs for the hearing impaired
• Fund raising for corneal transplants
• Support Juvenile Diabetics
• Sponsor Lion Sight Mobile for local vision screnings

Community

• Medical Equipment - Free loan outs of walkers, wheelchairs and other equipment
• Provide funding to assist in the training of dogs for use in assisted living enironments
• Collect stamps to assist vets in veterans hospitals
• Christmas candy canes for Berlin schools
• Sponsor Peace Poster contest in local grammar schools
• Sponsor High School scholarship awards
• Provide donations to local food banks
